Race Number Pickup
All corporate participants will pick up their race number individually and meet at their designated signage behind the Pavilion near the waterfalls on race day morning. Look for company name in alphabetical order.
Race Number Pick-Up is available at Minnehaha Park Pavilion (4801 Minnehaha Ave. , Minneapolis, MN 55417 - Google Maps) Friday, April 28, from Noon - 8:00 p.m. Race numbers may be picked up by a friend or family member during this time.
NOTE: Anyone registering after Sunday, April 23 will receive their bib number at packet pick-up.
The race will be
timed by Mtech using the MYLAPS BibTag timing system. The BibTag
system is a revolutionary new technology introduced by MYLAPS Sports
Timing, formerly known as ChampionChip.
Note: Parking on Friday is free of charge in only the 3 parking lots that are located on Godfrey Parkway between Minnehaha Avenue and 46th Ave. There are over 300 parking spots available. If you park in other metered parking areas on that day without paying you will be ticketed

For those from out of town, a limited number of race numbers will be allowed to be picked up on race day morning. Race number pick-up will begin at 7:00a.m. on race day. Please prepare to be on-site one hour before your race starts to pick up your race number and prepare for the race. There may be long lines and the races will start on time.
You are strongly encouraged to pick up your race numbers on Friday to avoid being late for the start of the race on Saturday morning.

Free Parking, Free Shuttle Info and Light Rail
Parking Notice - VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE! There is NO PARKING allowed at Minnehaha Park on event morning. Vehicles are subject to being ticketed if parked in a "no parking area."
BE EARLY!!! Traffic can, and will be, congested in and around the VAMC and Minnehaha Park the morning of the Get in Gear events.
Bus Shuttle runs continuously from the VAMC to Minnehaha Park pavilion in a continuous loop from 54th St. to South Minnehaha Ave. and North to the “new” bus drop and pick-up area at the back of the pavilion. Riders will take a short walk across the falls to the Pavilion. You will find restrooms inside the pavilion (but also we have 47 porta-potties on the venue for your use) and the Information Tent and Volunteer Check-In Tent will be on the immediate north side of the Pavilion.
NOTE: VAMC is under construction for a new parking ramp. There is no access to Get in Gear parking from One Veteran’s Drive (the main entrance). All entrance will be from 54th which you can access from Hwy. 55 (Hiawatha Ave.) Event Parking signage will be placed on the roads to help direct you. There is parking for approximately 1500 vehicles this year. If the lot fills you will be re-directed. Arrive early.
There is no parking at Minnehaha Park. Plan accordingly.
FREE Shuttle: 6:45a.m. start to 12:30pm or when buses are no longer needed. This will be determined by our bus coordinator on race day. Get in Gear is providing a FREE shuttle service which will begin at the VAMC (Veterans Affairs Medical Center web site or Veterans Affairs Medical Center web site map).
The VAMC is located approximately one mile south of Minnehaha Park on Minnehaha Avenue (Junction of Hwy. 55 & 62).
VAMC address: 1 Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417. Look for directional signs on race morning. Incoming vehicles to the VAMC will be directed to designated Get in Gear parking area by VAMC personnel.
Participants will then be taken by designated buses directly to Minnehaha Park. Buses will be ready for return to VAMC AFTER the buses have completed dropping participants off for their race. The distance between the VAMC and Minnehaha Park is one mile. You may plan to jog or walk as an alternative one way or two way option.
Metro Transit/Light Rail
Metro Transit for the Minneapolis Metro area includes stations that are located both at the VA Medical Center (VA Medical Center Station) and 46th Street (46th Street Station. For more detailed information and schedules, go to http://www.metrotransit.org/light-rail.aspx
The light rail has become very popular with our runners. Some runners coming from the south park at the Mall of America station and take the light rail to the 46th Street Station near the race start.
Clothing Baggage Drop Pre-Race
(Race Day Only)
Signage for the drop bag location will be visible on race morning and volunteers ready to navigate you. Our Information Tent also has grounds layout information if needed.
We will have bags available to place your belongings and identify by name and/or bib number from 6:30-9:00a.m. If you bring a bag it may be subject to brief inspection but it is preferred you use our drop bags. Please – no large duffle bags.
The drop bags are meant to hold light belongings and non-valuable
items. We have not had theft issues but we do not recommend highly
valuable items are left in your bags that we cannot be responsible
