Elite Athlete Update
Comp vs. Seeded Entry:
A 10K registration that
has no fees attached and
will allow the elite runner to start in the front corral based
on the race number assigned.

entries will be given out based on the runner’s qualifications.
are sent a comp entry per Get in Gear standards:
All age group
and overall winners of the previous year will receive
a comp entry by mail before the end of February.
are sent a seeded entry per Get in Gear standards:
Elite athletes that have ranked high in the past
year’s Get in Gear but did not meet the Get in Gear comp entry
have a record of performance in the past year showing potential
Get in Gear course record breaking may also qualify for a comp
entry after processing the following information:
Send by e-mail
fax (651-788-9184) the following information:
- Registration form with completed information plus USATF Number
and Social Security Number. Registration form must be postmarked
no later than April 1, 2017.
to be eligible for prize money your registration form must
include your social security number and your USATF #. If an
athlete does not have a social security number and valid address
the prize money will not be awarded to that athlete.
Also for those athletes that are running for a USATF team note
that your USATF number will be used to automatically provide
your team information as the team points are tabulated.

Once we receive this information, we will contact you (with the
contact information you've provided) to confirm your status.
Race Numbers Pick-up:
You may pick up
your race numbers either Friday, April 28, from Noon to 8:00
p.m. at the Minnehaha Park Pavilion and look for the signage for
Elite Athlete Pick-Up OR Saturday, April 29, before 8:00
a.m. at the T-Shirt Tent located near the pavilion.
Get in Gear will absorb the cost of parking in the park on
Friday, April 28, for people picking up their race numbers. Two
parking lots on the north side of the Pavilion (approximately
250 parking spots) are “free” to our participants beginning at
Noon. Please note that parking is NOT allowed in the bus circle
and that the parking spots adjacent to the Pavilion (west side
and on Old Minnehaha) are not part of the paid parking for the
