10K Elite Athlete Information

Athletes meeting the guidelines for a comp entry (see male and female information) will receive an invitation by email to register as a comp entry by the middle of January.

Athletes meeting the guidelines for a seeded entry (see male and female information) will receive an invitation by email to register as a seeded entry by the middle of January.

Athletes that have a record of performance in the past year showing potential to break a Get in Gear course record may complete the Seeded Number Request Form  by April 1, 2019. Once we receive this information, we will contact you (with the contact information you've provided) to confirm your status.

Elite athletes may pick up race numbers either Friday, April 26, from 12 PM to 8 PM at Minnehaha Park (look for the signage for Elite Athlete Pick-Up) OR Saturday, April 27, before 8 AM at the race number pickup.


Guidelines for Comp and Seeded Entries

Comp Entry:  A pre-designated registration received with no fees attached that will identify the runner as an elite runner by the race number assigned.

Seeded Entry:  A pre-designated registration received that must include current registration fee and will identify the runner as an elite runner by the race number assigned.

Male Comp and Seeded Entries

  • Eligible for Comp Entry
    • Top 3 Overall
    • Top 3 Masters
    • 1st place finishers in each age group
       
  • Eligible for Seeded Entry
    • Male finishers in the top 20 results of the previous year's 10K who are not an overall, masters, or age group winner.
    • Participants finishing at 5:20 mile pace and under in other current races

Female Comp and Seeded Entries

  • Eligible for Comp Entry
    • Top 3 Overall
    • Top 3 Masters
    • 1st place finishers in each age group
       
  • Eligible for Seeded Entry
    • Female finishers in the top 20 results of the previous year's 10K who are not an overall, masters, or age group winner.

    • Participants finishing at 6:00 mile pace and under in other current races
